Bishop Kevin Rafferty, Diocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh This item is a small prayer card with a photograph of a smiling, bespectacled Bishop Rafferty, dressed in his Bishop's attire; on the back of the prayer card is a request to pray for Bishop Rafferty, Titular Bishop of Ausuaga and Bishop Auxiliary of the Archdiocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh from 1990 to 1996; Bishop Rafferty was born on 24th June 1933 and ordained a priest on 2nd June 1957; he was ordained Bishop on 15th August 1990 and died in St John's Hospital, Livingston, on 19th April 1996, aged 62; further details of Bishop Rafferty's life can be found in his obituary on pp 474 to 476 of the 1997 edition of The Catholic Directory for Scotland.
