Bishop Charles Renfrew, Diocese of Glasgow This is a formal head and shoulders photograph of Bishop Renfrew, who is half smiling and wearing his pectoral crucifix; Bishop Renfrew was born in Glasgow on 21st June 1929 and ordained a priest in Rome on 4th April 1953; he was nominated titular bishop of Abula (and auxiliary bishop), 5th May 1977, and ordained in Glasgow on 31st May 1977; he died in Glasgow on 27th February 1992 aged 62; further details of Bishop Renfrew's life can be found in his obituary on pp 416 to 419 of the 1993 edition of The Catholic Directory for Scotland.
