  <dc:description>standing reading the Rev Donald Martin; born in Ardnamurchan in 1873; entered the college at Valladolid in 1899, on the eve of his 26th birthday; Ordained priest in Oban, 1905; After two years in Castlebay - during the absence of Fr. William MacMaster on account of illness, he himself took ill and was for a short time, 1908-1909 with Father Barry in Glencoe.  They were together there when the Kinlochleven church was opened in 1909; It is probably about that time that this photograph was taken - at the door of the Ballachulish church (?); Martin dies as Bishop of Argyll &amp; the Isles on 6th December 1938.</dc:description>
