<dc:title>Correspondence relating to St Mary Magdalen and St Edward's College, Whetstone</dc:title>
<dc:description>The correspondence is mainly to and from Bishop Gerald Mahon and Bishop Philip Harvey, Auxiliary Bishops of Westminster, but it also includes earlier correspondence from 1939 relating to fundraising for the building of the church. The correspondence includes invitations to the Auxiliary Bishops to social and religious events in the parish, including confirmations and the presentation of a Bene Merenti medal to Mrs Agnes Bettin in 1977. There is also correspondence from Fr Desmond Sheehan recommending Martin O'Connor for a Knighthood of St Gregory and Conn O'Halpin for a Bene Merenti medal in 1978. The file includes details of a Pastoral Visit by Bishop Philip Harvey in March 1979, and correspondence relating to the ordination of deacons at St Edward's College, Totteridge, with a photograph of Bishop Gerald Mahon at a service held there on Easter Sunday, 14 April 1974. It also details issues concerning the parish priest, Fr Jeremiah Ryan, who was succeeded by Fr Desmond Sheehan in 1975.</dc:description>
