  <dc:description>Illustrated journal of St Edmund's College, Ware. Vol XX, Nos 138-142. Each issue has a list of former Edmundians serving in the armed forces, including whether they had been granted awards, mentioned in despatches, captured, wounded, killed on active service or were missing in action. There are also obituaries for those killed in action, and a description of the heroism of Fr C McMenemy during the sinking of  the SS Lancastria which took part in Operation Ariel off teh coast of France. No 139 includes a tribute to Fr Thomas Sherlock, who resigned as headmaster in 1940 and was succeeded by Mr J H Walton King.</dc:description>
