Description | [This photograph, filed amongst a collection of Diocese of Aberdeen photographs, is possibly of the interior of St Andrew's Cathedral in Glasgow; the photograph shows a funeral taking place; there is a coffin with beretta on top and surrounded by candles on the altar, with several Bishops and clergy on either side; there is a member of the clergy speaking in the pulpit and the front pew is filled with more clergy; St Andrew's Cathedral was built in 1792 and alterations made in 1816; as at 2009, it has an estimated Catholic popultion of 250.] |
