Description	This is a formal studio portrait of Canon John Gray which shows him seated on a chair; Canon Gray was born in London on 10th March 1866 and was ordained priest in Rome on 21st December 1901; he died in Edinburgh on 16th June 1934, aged 68; full details of Canon Gray's life can be found in his obituary on pp 344 to 345 of The Catholic Directory for 1935.
