Description	This photograph, a formal studio portrait, shows an unsmiling Rev Valentine (Val) Mackenzie, with slicked back hair and dark spectacles; Rev Mackenzie was born on 2nd November 1891 in Glenaladale, Moidart; he was ordained priest at Blairs College on 21st September 1919; he died in Inverness on 2nd March 1970, aged 79; full details of Mgr Mackenzie's life can be found in his obituary on pp 298 to 301 of The Catholic Directory for Scotland 1971.
