Description	Correspondence relating to the Italian Catholic Mission at Ponders End, Enfield. The file includes correspondence Diocesan Financial Secretary, George Marriott, and Vicar General, Mgr David Norris, regarding an application to the St Andrews' Trust for matched funding to purchase the former Convent at Ponders End, which would allow the Italian Catholic Mission to move there from their former location in Cheshunt. This includes a memo giving a background summary by Mgr Arthur Rivers, St Patrick's Soho (1976). There is also correspondence relating to the putative appointment of Ponders End parish priest, Fr Robert 'Bob' Newbery, as a Chaplain at Lourdes, which involved Mrs W A Feely, of the Bureau Medical de Notre-Dame de Lourdes, and Fr Carlo Sorrenti of the Italian Catholic Mission (1979)
