Description	The archives of St Edmund's College illustrates the history of the seminary at Douay, its transfer to England in 1793 and the subsequent development of St Edmund's at Old Hall Green both as a school and as the seminary first for the London District and finally for the Archdiocese of Westminster. They contain an important accumulation of philosophical and theological papers and much biographical material and are a source of information for the history of Catholicism in England.
